I've downloaded and installed all the software available for this product on this website (Bass Station 2.0, V-Station 2.2, Launchkey Reason Installer), followed the instructions for installation in Reason and it is just not being detected at all, I have to add it manually as a generic controller, InControl doesn't work and I'm having to reprogram every button every time I start Reason. According to the manual Reason is supposed to recognize it as Launchkey InControl 49, but the manual does not say if this product supports Reason 5.0 or not. Please let me know if I'm having technical difficulties and how to fix it or if I need to buy a new DAW to make this work as advertised with InControl features actually working. Windows 7 64bit. thanks in advance for any assistance you can give me. Workaround: Download and install Reason 7 Trial version. Make sure that you rename installation path. from c:\Program Files\Propellerhead\ Reason to c\Programm Files\Propellerhead\ Reason7. So we make sure that you don't overwrite your old Reason Version. After installation. the Reason 7 installer has added some files to c:\Program Data\Propellerhead\Reason\Remote. That is all we need. Now delete the Reason7 folder in c:\Program Files\Propellerhead\. So there is only the remaining Reason folder. DO NOT UNINSTALL REASON 7 because that will result in erasing the files we need. HOW TO USE LAUNCHKEY WITH REASON 5. 1. Run "Launchkey Reason Installer 1.0. 4. Copy both files and "Launchkey in the folder "C:\ProgramData\Propellerhead Software\Remote\Codecs\Lua Codecs\Novation" (you have to replace the existing files. 6. Go to Edit - Preferences - Keyboards and Control Surfaces. 7. Click on "Autodetect Surfaces. 8. Play music using your Launchkey. Download Reason 8 Demo, it has the Control surfaces for Launchkey in that. Install it, detect it, found it. then delete all Reason 8 including codemeter. Start up Reason 5, it will start as if you have first installed it, select audio, then control surfaces. Detect, found, go. then once its up and running, go back to Preferences, do a surface search. again, this enables it to find the second surface you need to control the sliders and stuff. I found this thread before I bought it and so I thought everything would be fine, but I've been trying since then and I can't get InControl to work with Reason 5. I've tried all the different ways of doing it in this thread and nothing works. I get this error in Reason 5 AND 8 when I try to autodetect the LaunchKey.
